This bentwood card table and chair set was designed by Viennese architect Joseph Hoffmann for the Cabaret Fledermaus, a popular cabaret, in Vienna in 1907 and well illustrates design from the Viennese Secession/Wiener Werkstatte movement of the early 20th century.
This is likely a vintage, mid-to-late 20th century reproduction of the cafe set. "Thonet" is carved into the seat bottoms.
Wood has original finish with coloring and shows nice age and patina. Seats show small puncture damage on leather.
Stunning design, perfect as dining chairs or for a game table. Sold as a set.
