Framed and signed painting from 1985 by A. Piapot, also known as Ignatius Palmer (1922-1985). A well-know Mescalero Apache artist who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and later attended the Santa Fe Indian School. He is known for his paintings featuring Gan Dancers and other ceremonial figures, often exhibiting his work in the tribal arts center near his home in the Mescalero Apache area.
